- The Saferparks Database provides online access to safety records from regulatory agencies that responded to Saferparks' public records request. It does not represent a complete record of ride-related accidents and cannot be ethically used to compare or contrast the safety of different rides, parks, carnivals, or states. Please use the information responsibly.
- Graphs, tables, and statistics based on frequency data may not accurately represent trends across the full range of rides at all U.S. parks and carnivals. [Note About Frequency Data]
- Saferparks has not made any attempt to verify the accuracy or veracity of the reports included in this database. Regulatory Logs were requested from state/local regulatory agencies. Hospital ER reports were obtained through the Consumer Product Safety Commission's NEISS sampling system.
- The records are best used as a collective source of information about ride-related accidents. Taken together, they give a general sense of the ways in which patrons are injured on amusement rides.
- There are inherent risks in the participation in any on-line database. Users of this database, by participation, accept the risks inherent in such participation of which the ordinary prudent person is or should be aware. Users have a duty to exercise good judgment and act in a responsible manner while using the information provided in this database, and to obey all oral or written warnings, or both, during or after participation, or both.
