- Scrape or stumble during load/unload (25%)
- Child's body hit something within the vehicle while riding (14%)
- Child fell out of the ride mid-cycle (13%)
- Child was injured by the restraint system during load/unload (9%)

The following table lists the types of kiddie rides included in public accident reports provided to Saferparks by state regulatory agencies. Note that a higher number of reported accidents for a particular ride type does not necessarily indicate a higher rate of rider injury. Ride types that are more broadly defined will accrue higher accident counts. More popular rides and rides operated in states with stricter public reporting laws will generate higher numbers of reported accidents.
